What would you lose most if you lost your sight?
Donate
RNIB Scotland very much depends on donations from members of the public. Without these we could not help people who have lost their sight to find their lives again.
- You can make a single or a regular donation to support our work. Please click here to donate.
- The easiest way to donate is by texting
To donate a maximum amount of £2 simply text the word DONATE to 81456*.
*Messages charged at standard rate. You will receive a confirmation message. We will receive your donation net of charges applied by mobile network operators and a processing fee. Text messaging service provided through RNIB, Keywest Design and Text Anywhere. If you have any questions about this service please visit www.whatwouldyoulose.org.uk or telephone 0131 652 3140.
You can donate by text message as many times as you like by simply texting in again.
For every £1 donated, we spend 87p directly helping blind and partially sighted people, 11p on raising more vital funds, and 2p on administration.
- £1 produces a Braille, large print or audio catalogue to tell blind and partially sighted people about the latest products to make life easier.
- £8 helps to pay for a call to our Helpline, giving us time to listen and respond to each individual's needs.
- £15 pays for an in-depth benefits check to ensure that a blind or partially sighted person is receiving all the help they are entitled to.
- £70 covers an annual subsidy for one of the 40,000 subscribers to our Talking Book library.
